Korea Sailing Federation has today announced its decision to host the 16th Asian Sailing Championships at Wangsan Marina, Incheon, Korea during 01 to 06 Jul 2014.

The event was earlier scheduled to take place during 05 -14 Sep 2013 at the same venue, however, had been cancelled.

The YAI Council met in New Delhi on 10 February 2014 and has approved the proposal of Chairman SPDC to conduct selection trials for Asian Games 2014. The Notice of Race for Asian Games Selection Regatta 2014 to be held at Visakhapatnam during 05 to 17 April 2014 has been issued and can be downloaded from the link provided below.

The 2014 Asian Games, officially known as the XVII Asiad, is the largest sporting event in Asia governed by Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). It is scheduled to take place in Incheon, South Korea from September 19 – October 4, 2014, with 437 events in 36 sports and disciplines set to feature in the Games.

The Selection trials for selecting Indian yachting team is tentatively scheduled to be held at Visakhapatnam during 07 - 17 April 2014, subject to approval of the YAI Council, which is scheduled to meet at New Delhi on 10 Feb 2014. The Notice of Race for the selection trials will be issued by mid Feb 2014.

Coaching camps to prepare Core Probable in various classes are scheduled during 10 Jan to 30 March 2014 at Mumbai, Chennai and Goa. All sailors must report to the respective coordinator on the due date. The sailors are responsible to ensure availability of their boats at the venue prior to arriving at camp venue.
