The YAI Council met in New Delhi on 10 February 2014 and has approved the proposal of Chairman SPDC to conduct selection trials for Asian Games 2014. The Notice of Race for Asian Games Selection Regatta 2014 to be held at Visakhapatnam during 05 to 17 April 2014 has been issued and can be downloaded from the link provided below.
The Council also reviewed the status of ‘provisional’ member clubs and decided to disaffiliate the Loktak Lake Sailing Club, Riverbay Resorts Sailing Club, Umiam Lake Sailing Club and O’Porto Mumbai Port Sailing Club from the YAI.
The Council also reviewed the status of voting rights of Goa Yachting Association as discussed during the AGM 2013 and decided to maintain “status quo”, since it did not meet the conditions set out by the YAI for grant of full membership.
