It may be recalled that in accordance with the Election Notice issued by the YAI, the declaration of results was slated for 17 Jul 2013, however, the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi on 15 Jul 2013 in CM No 5409/2013 in W.P. (C) No 2062/2013 had directed that, "the ballot box be preserved without opening the same or processing the ballots".
The YAI had filed an appeal against this order in the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi and the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi LPA No 523/2013 on 22 August 2013 had directed that, "the directions contained in the impugned order restraining the opening of the ballot boxes and counting of the votes are set aside. The appellant (YAI) would be at liberty to complete the election process and declare the results."

A meeting of the YAI Council shall be convened shortly to discuss the various issues and finalisation of ACTC for the rest of the year. The Council will also confirm the proposed date and venue for the AGM of the YAI.
