Justice ML Mehta (Retd) completed B.Sc. from Punjab University, M.A., LL.B. from Delhi University, LL.M. from Kurukshetra University. He practised for over a year before joining Delhi Judicial Service on 20th May, 1977. Justce ML Mehta (Retd) has worked on different positions such as Metropolitan Magistrate, Addl. Rent Controller, Commercial Civil Judge, Joint Registrar, Delhi High Court. He was promoted to Delhi Higher Judicial Service in 1996 and worked on different positions like Additional Sessions Judge, Additional District Judge, Special Judge(TADA), Special Judge(CBI). Presiding Officer, Labour Court and Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, etc. Established Delhi Mediation Centre at Karkardooma Court Complex and worked there as Full time Judge In-charge and Coordinator. As designated Trainer, he imparted training in mediation to the Lawyers and Judges in Delhi and in different parts of the country. Justice ML Mehta (Retd) became District Judge-II in 2008. He also worked as Principal Secretary (Law, Justice & Legislative Affairs), Govt. of NCT of Delhi from June, 2009 uptil 2nd December, 2010. He was elevated to the Bench of Delhi High Court on 3rd December, 2010 and retired on 30th December 2013.
