All "Member Clubs" wishing to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Association must appoint in writing a delegate or representative to attend on its behalf and to exercise all its rights to vote. A true copy of any such appointment shall be delivered to the Honorary Secretary General prior to the opening of the meeting. Any two representatives of a "Member Club" who may be the President / Vice President / Secretary General / Commodore / Vice Commodore shall be entitled to attend. However, only the delegate so appointed, shall be entitled to vote. The nomination of an authorized representative shall be signed both by the President and Secretary General or the Commodore and Vice Commodore of the affiliated "Member Club". Any nomination which is not signed by both the President and Secretary General or the Commodore and Vice Commodore of the member concerned, shall not be accepted. The right of exercising the vote shall vest only in the authorized representative of the Member Club.
Each affiliated "Member Club" is therefore requested to intimate the name of its representative latest by 02 November 2015. This intimation must be addressed to the Hon Secretary General on the letter head of the "Member Club" duly signed by the President or Secretary of the affiliated State Association, President or Vice President of the affiliated Class Association and Commodore or the Vice Commodore of the affiliated Sailing Club. Any change in the name of any authorised representative after 02 November 2015 or any intimation received thereafter shall only be permitted with the approval of the President YAI.
It is hereby brought to everyone’s notice that “Member Clubs”, whose annual subscription dues remain outstanding as on 01 Nov 2015, are not permitted to attend the AGM.
Life Associate Members and Annual Associate Members are also invited to attend but shall have no voting rights as laid down in the YAI Constitution.
The broad outline programme of the AGM 2015 will be as below
- 1530 hrs - Delegates arrive and registration at the venue
- 1615 hrs - Council Members arrive
- 1630 hrs - President YAI arrives and AGM commences
- 1830 hrs - On completion, tea and refreshments
