The 44th edition of the ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship has been declared open by ISAF President Carlo Croce at the opening ceremony in Tavira, Portugal. The 2014 ISAF Youth Worlds features 67 nations, an event record, with more than 360 sailors set to compete in five classes across eight events in the Algarve.

Korea Sailing Federation has today announced its decision to host the 16th Asian Sailing Championships at Wangsan Marina, Incheon, Korea during 01 to 06 Jul 2014.

The event was earlier scheduled to take place during 05 -14 Sep 2013 at the same venue, however, had been cancelled.

In 2007 Rajen Shah, after his retirement decided to build a catamaran in India which would allow him to sail in shallow waters off South Gujarat coast and could be beached or grounded when required, since there are no marinas as yet where he could be berth the boat safely.
